You can't change most of your circumstances in life, but what you can change is your perspective on those circumstances. Your perspective determines how miserable you are in bad times and you much you celebrate in good times. The Apostle Peter knew that he couldn't affect our struggle as followers of Jesus, so instead, he gives us a chance to shift our perspective on those struggles.
