Our Thanksgiving service begins with two baptisms. Then we hear from members of our church as they lead us in gratitude for Family, our Church, and God's Provision. Finally, our Pastor leads in gratitude for Jesus and His sacrifice for us.

It seems like every salesman overpromises and underdelivers. The before and after always seems too good to be true. But, Jesus doesn't oversell. In Mark 8 and 9, He presents a problem, the solution, and the results. This week, Pastor Ben Hightower continues our series in Mark by laying out the before and after that Jesus presents with His plan for spiritual growth. How do you measure your faith? Is it in church attendance? What words you do or don't say? Is it in your charity? This week, Pastor Ben Hightower continues in Mark 9 to show us the measure Jesus used to determine faith. What would you do to hear from God? Make sacrifices? Complete heroic challenges? Pay a lot of money? What would you be willing to do to hear from God? What if I told you that you had the opportunity to hear from God and it was a lot simpler than you thought it would be? This week, Pastor Ben Hightower continues our series in Mark 9 and answers that question. Who decided what you were going to be when you grew up? Who decided how you would raise your kids? Who decided how your marriage would operate? Who decided what your life would be about? This week, Pastor Ben Hightower takes us through what Jesus had to say when Peter told Him about his plans for the future. Are you trying to get better or just not get worse? This week, Pastor Ben Hightower continues in Mark 8 to talk about the difference between trying not to sin and becoming more like Jesus. We test things every day. We taste test, test drive, and test our spouse's patience. The only thing we don't want tested is ourselves. But, if we expect Jesus to help us, then we should expect Him to test us. This week, Pastor Ben Hightower concludes our series on Hard Hearts by showing us the test that Jesus put the Disciples through to see what they had learned and asks us to apply the same test to ourselves. So, you've got a hard heart. Nothing God says or does seems to make it through to you. What do you do about it? This week, Pastor Ben Hightower continues in Mark 7 to answer that question. When we think of Jesus, the image is usually of a kind man telling people to be nice to each other, offering people healing and forgiveness, and giving up His life for the world. What we don't think of is some being rude to a woman who asks for His help. In Mark 7, He does just that. He insults her for seemingly no reason. The question is why? This week, Pastor Ben Hightower continues our series on Hard Hearts by looking at what pride does to our hearts and what God will do to break that pride. There are some things you can only see with a mirror. The Bible acts as a spiritual mirror. This week, Pastor Ben Hightower continues our series in Mark by holding up a mirror to us and asks us to judge whether our hearts are hard or soft. |
