Our Ministry Directors

Ben & Brittney Hightower

Ben Hightower is our Pastor. He and his wife, Brittney — who doubles as Solid Rock’s Worship Leader and teaches at the University of Arkansas — have been married since 2005 and are raising three amazing kids: Cooper, Quinn, and Beckham. They have been at Solid Rock since December of 2019.

Before coming to Solid Rock, Ben and Brittney planted churches in Fayetteville, AR, and Columbia, MO. Their hearts have always been for helping people follow Jesus and creating a church that feels like family.

The Hightowers homeschool their kids and love serving together in ministry. Ben’s preaching is real, practical, and always centered on the gospel — helping people see how God’s truth connects to everyday life.

If they’re not at church on Sunday, they’re probably on a cruise.

Carla Wood - Solid Rock Kids

Carla and her husband David have been members of Solid Rock for years. Their three kids grew up in Solid Rock which gives them a unique perspective on what our kids need. Carla & David have three kids and three grandkids and counting. David is one of our Deacons.

Carla worked for preschoolers professionally for several years and and takes care of her grandsons, so she probably has bandaids if you need one.

Emily Cacioppo - Solid Rock Teens

Emily has been a member of Solid Rock for several years and leads our Teen Ministry with a genuine love for students and their walk with Christ. She and her husband, Destin, have two children and are both actively involved in the life of our church.
Emily’s own experiences as a teenager give her a deep compassion for students as they navigate faith, identity, and life’s challenges. Her heart is to help every teen know Jesus personally and grow into confident, faithful adults who stay connected to the church.

Emily is a dental hygienist, so make sure you floss before you talk to her.

Roger Hall - Solid Rockers

Bro. Roger Hall is a retired Pastor who moved to Bentonville with his wife Karen to be closer to their kids and grandkids. They both serve Solid Rock in many ways. Bro. Rogers leads our retirement ministry and teaches an Adult Class on Wednesday nights at 7.

If he’s not preaching or teaching, he’s probably fishing. You’re welcome to join him.

Our Deacons

Grant Ashe

Grant is one of our Deacons and co-leads a Small Group. He and his wife knew that Solid Rock was the place for them soon after the first visited. They homeschool their daughters, Evelyn and Aubree, who light up every room they walk into. Meghan works in our Children’s Ministry as a teacher and a writer for our Kid’s Curriculum.

Grant works in Sales Management. He’s a hugger, so prepare yourself.

Clayton Bradley

Clayton and Angela are charter members of Solid Rock. Clayton is a Deacon, manages the grounds and facilites of the church, and co-leads a Small Group. Angela is the church treasurer. They have raised three children at Solid Rock and have two grandchildren.

Clayton works in environmental systems maintenance. And, yes, he’s actually pretty happy mowing all 12 acres, even in August.

Clay Graham

Clay and Myra’s second visit at Solid Rock was Ben’s first day. It was an auspicious beginning. Clay serves as a Deacon and leads a Small Group. Myra is one of our Children’s Ministry writers. They have traveled the country following jobs, but have settled in NWA. Their son Thomas, Daughter-in-law Marissa, and grandson James also live in Bentonville.

Clay works in HR, but don’t hold it against him.

Dennis McGarrah

Dennis and Linda are charter members of Solid Rock. Dennis is a Deacon and works in every ministry but the Teens. The only reason he doesn’t work with the Teens is because he’s busy with the kids. Linda is the church clerk and serves on the Worship Team. They have three children and three grandchildren.

Dennis is retired from Walmart, but is a full time Hogs fan, despite all the reasons not to be.

Derrick Shaw

Derrick and his wife Audra are involved in almost everything at Solid Rock. Derrick is a Deacon and co-leads a Small Group. Audra works in our Kid’s Ministry and is one of our curriculum writers. They homeschool their daughter Aubree. Aubree is the most positive person you have ever met. Every day is a good day if you ask her.

Derrick is a Senior Auditor. And yes, the beard is real.

Justin Wallis

Justin and Kim are charter members of Solid Rock. They raised their sons here at Solid Rock and those sons are still a part of the church with their families. They have two grandkids with one more on the way. Justin leads a Small Group and Kim runs our Women’s Ministry.

Justin is a firefighter. He doesn’t start them, he just puts them out. (At least, not anymore.)

David Wood

David and Carla have served in many roles at Solid Rock. David is a Deacon and Carla is our Children’s Director and one of our Kid’s Curriculum Writers. They raised their three kids at Solid Rock and have a passion to use what they’ve learned to help others parents. They have three grandchildren with another on the way.

David does something at Walmart that involves computers, meeetings, and headaches. I’m still unclear what that is.
