Our Goal

At Solid Rock Kids, our goal is simple: to tell children about Jesus, teach them the Bible, and foster a lifelong love for church. We’re not babysitting — we long for a generation of kids who know the gospel, grow in faith, and carry their faith into adulthood. We strive to make every Sunday and Wednesday a moment that reinforces the knowledge that they are loved by us and God and to instill in them a love for church.

Our Method

Our curriculum is designed in-house to center every lesson around three key components: (1) presenting the gospel; (2) covering every major Bible story in a four-year cycle; and (3) memorizing core Bible passages (twice) throughout their time in Kids Ministry.

Every Kid

At Solid Rock Kids, we want every child to feel welcome and included. While we don’t have a dedicated special needs ministry, we work to accommodate children with special needs as best we can. For children who need a quieter environment, we offer a low‑sensory room where they can view the service alongside their parents. Sundays & Wednesdays

On Sunday mornings, we start with worship as a family, then transition children to the Kid’s Area.

On Wednesday nights @ 6:30, we begin with a shared meal.

Every class starts with a Big Group story, then the kids break up into classes for age-appropriate activities to memorize scripture and reinforce the lesson.

Safety

The safety of every child at Solid Rock Kids is a top priority. We carefully screen and background check everyone who works with minors and we use a secure check‑in system to ensure that only authorized adults can pick up children. During all regular services, every classroom is staffed with at least two adults to provide a safe, supervised environment.

Special Events

Our big kids events are Creek Week, a three‑night overnight camp for kids 9–12 and Camp Rock, our Vacation Bible School. We also host an Egg Hunt every Easter and Trunk or Treat in the Fall. We don’t meet on Wednesdays during the summer, we offer a special events like movie nights and our Back to School Bash.

Children’s Director

Carla and her husband David have been members of Solid Rock for years. Their three kids grew up in Solid Rock which gives them a unique perspective on what our kids need. Carla & David have three kids and three grandkids and counting. David is one of our Deacons.

Carla worked for preschoolers professionally for several years and they have both served in kid’s ministry for most of their marriage.
