When we think about overcoming sin, we usually think about dealing with our own sin. But, how we respond to other people's sin matters as much as how we respond to our own. This week, Pastor Ben Hightower finishes Jesus sermon from Matthew 18 to see what Jesus says about what forgiveness is, what forgiveness isn't, and how much forgiveness we should give.
People who have an accountability partner lose 50-60% more weight than people who do it alone. People who share their goals with someone and give them permission to ask about the goals are 65% more likely to accomplish their goals. People who have those partners and who meet regularly to talk about it are 95% more likely to accomplish their goals. None of that is too surprising, is it? We really shouldn't be surprised, then, by what Jesus says in Matthew 18 about how we can overcome our sin. This week, Pastor Ben Hightower takes us through the four step process Jesus gives us for defeating sin and talks about why it's so effective.
