It's hard to share with someone who doesn't understand what you're going through. As much as they want to help, they don't always have a lot to offer. Does it ever feel that way when you're asking God for help? You are going through something and have no way to affect it, so you have to go to someone else. Someone who can fix anything He wants with the snap of His fingers. Can He really understand what you're going through? This week, Pastor Ben Hightower continues in Mark 5 to show us the story about two daughters and an answer to that question.

How long does it take for God to give up on you? Strangers will give up on you fast. Friends and family take a little longer, but if you push them far enough, most will give up on you, too. How far gone do you have to be before God gives up on you? This week, Pastor Ben Hightower gives us that answer from Mark 5. 6/4/2023 0 Comments June 4th, 2023 - Why Deacons? What's a Deacon? What do they do? Why do they need them? As we prepare to ordain Solid Rock's first Deacons, Pastor Ben Hightower takes us through Acts 6 to see what the Apostles had in mind when they created this role. Have you ever noticed how similar some stories in the Bible are? Sometimes, it's like the names and places change, but everything else stays the same. It's almost as if God arranges things like that to see how closely we've been paying attention. This week, Pastor Ben Hightower continues through the Gospel of Mark by taking us through a story that's almost a shot for shot retelling of an Old Testament story that we've all heard. Who is supposed to share their faith? Who are they supposed to share it with? How do we get people to accept the Gospel? This week, Pastor Ben Hightower takes us through four parables of Jesus in Mark 4 to share Jesus' answer to these questions. There's no sin that God won't forgive. But, what about...? Once forgiven, you can't be unforgiven. But, what about...? The sacrifice of Jesus covers all sins before and after the moment of forgiveness. But, what about...? This week, Pastor Ben Hightower takes us through the Parable of the Soils in Mark 4 to answer the question, "But, what about...?"
Have you ever thought about how lonely Jesus must have been? He was hated by the people He came to save. He was loved by family and friends, but not understood by them. He was dedicated to what the Father had asked Him to do in a way that no one else was. Although He was surrounded by people, He had to be lonely. This week, Pastor Ben Hightower continues our series in Mark by examining Jesus' response to the loneliness of His mission and shares how we can respond the way that Jesus did.
We experienced some audio issues this week, but we're working on them. Please forgive the problems with the audio quality.
Is the Gospel too good to be true? Is forgiveness really free? Is there really no fine print? This week, Pastor Ben Hightower continues our series in Mark by walking us through a verse that seems like fine print, but is actually a guarantee.
What was started in the Garden of Eden was finished on the Cross of Calvary. This week, Pastor Ben Hightower show us how Jesus brought the Tree of Life to everyone who would choose to eat from it.
What is a believer supposed to spend their life doing? Is it just go to church and keep going to church until Jesus gets back? This week, Pastor Ben Hightower continues through the Gospel of Mark to show us the process Jesus used to move believers through the plan He had for them.
